Teachers new to Village Tech in the 2018-2109 School Year will be compensated based on the Salary Schedule in the below link. New teachers will be offered a salary based on the "P" or progress level since a full evaluation cycle will not have been completed with Village Tech at the time of hire. Individuals in teaching positions should be Highly Qualified (HQ) in accordance with SBEC requirements. Enrollment in and continuous progress towards the completion of an alternative certification program may meet HQ requirements (certification should be completed of hire). Teachers and full-time employees at VTS participate in the Texas Teacher Retirement System (TRS).
The 2018-2019 Salary Schedule has been adopted for the 2018-2019 School Year. There is no expressed or implied contract based on this salary schedule, and no future raises may be implied or inferred from this schedule. In addition, any salary amount is at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer and in accordance with VTS policies and procedures.
Village Tech currently also offers a $1,000 Master's Degree stipend. The degree must have been awarded prior to in order to qualify for the additional Master's stipend during the 2018-2019 School Year employment term.
