Mosaic: Student Exhibition of Learning 2021

You are invited to attend Mosaic: Exhibition of Learning happening on the Village Tech campus, Saturday, May 22 from 9:00AM - 4:30 PM.

This year, our 1,200 students, their families, friends, teaching staff, community partners, and online guests will gather for this incredible experience.

We are so excited to host our community in this event!  We ask that you pre register so we can prepare for your visit.  Make sure everyone attending has registered on EventBrite (link coming soon, be sure to check back)! Students will be presenting during 4 different blocks of time.  We ask as a guest, you attend during these times.

9:00 - 10:30
11:00 - 12:30

1:00 - 2:30
3:00 - 4:30

What can you expect?

When you arrive, you will be greeted by enthusiastic Squids excited to host their community.  You will be provided a map with a path to follow that will guide you through the entire Village seeing all grades.  We ask that you keep to the map.

Village Tech students will spend the day showcasing their creativity, innovative ideas, and beautiful work to the community. As a school, we believe that “beautiful work doesn’t belong in a backpack.” Beautiful work - work of meaning, quality and connection - should be enjoyed by everyone.

This event will follow the Village Tech Covid precautions which include physical distancing, sanitizing stations, face masks, and many grades placed outdoors.

There is so much to do and see at the Exhibition!

Look for two exciting “ADD ONS” you can take advantage of as a family - the Jackson Pollock Experience and the 3rd Grade Tool Kit Build Experience.  These add ons are prepaid, registration required at $20 a family.  We recommend you schedule a time that does not conflict with your squids presentation time.

Make sure you stop by the Spirit Trailer to get your VT goodies!

Just a few special Events throughout the day that don’t require registration -

4th grade exhibit - participate in making a family tile for $5 to add to the Totem Poles!

7th grade exhibit - Get a custom designed family name that is made from a 12X 20 foam piece that can be displayed in your home $5
11 grade exhibit - Create beautiful Lichtenberg, or “fractal,” burning, piece $5

Donate to the House Warming!

You can also help us help one of our fellow squids who lost their home. 8th grade students ask that you bring an item to donate - items such as sheets, blankets, towels, wash cloths, cups, plates, pots, pans, cooking sheets, socks, spices, non perishable food items, candles, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, mop, broom, laundry baskets, clothing, etc to help us replace items our very own Ms. Speed lost in a fire on February 28th. Join us in this experience as the students host a HOUSEWARMING!

Don’t miss the Ribbon cutting experiences throughout the day for Belonging Boulevard and the Reading Reef occurring at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm!
